Graduate school conducts the program for students who are interested in achieving Master’s or Doctoral degree. Those who have achieved bachelors degree from a reputed university and who willing to study more and achieve Master degree usually attends the graduate school to fulfill their aim. Nowadays majority of the universities are providing graduate degrees. This is a course for two years. This program concentrates only on a particular subject chosen by the student.
Doctoral degree which is also provided by the graduate school takes four years to complete the course. This is a bit costly education but after holding graduate degree or doctoral degree the career opportunities will be very high. Most of the major companies always consider students who have taken their Master’s or Doctoral degree from a respective graduate school as an employee for their company.
For getting admission in a graduate school the applicant should have a bachelor’s degree. He or she should have consistent good level of grades in all their previous exams. They also have some standard admission tests which the applicant should pass to qualify for a graduate school admission. GMAT –Graduate Management Admission Test, GRE – Graduate Record examination are some among these admission test.
Most of the graduate schools look for the scores that each individual has got in the above mentioned test. Some universities are very strict in the admission. They will conduct some interviews as well to know the caliber of the applicant. If an applicant succeeds in all these rounds then only they will be admitted to the graduate school.
During their admission they can specify the subject in which they would like to achieve Master’s degree. After the successful completion of Master’s degree the student can go for the next higher level which is doctoral degree. Some universities allow the students to work as tutors. By taking these roles students receive a small amount as stipend which they use for their educational expenses.
