What is social science?

Social science is the study of social life in the human groups or individuals. There are many types of social sciences, like anthropology, communication studies, criminology, economics, geography, history just to name a few. Social sciences have been around since ancient Greece, when Plato and Aristotle were around. There are millions of people that work in the social science field, because humans and there qualities are so complex. Some key careers in the social science field are anthropologist, archaeologist, geographer, and historian. Anthropologists are people that research and study the origin, development, behavior, and the attitudes of humans. Archaeologists are professionals that examine, evaluate and analyze the use of different tools and recover material evidence, they also study past human and animal lives. Geographer are what are called social scientist, they study and examine structure and forms of land. Which mean land forming, climate, water plats, plants and animals are all important to this career choice.  Historians are people who use newspaper, media, periodicals, interviews, photographs to interpret the past. Historians are usually involved in different fields like social economics, cultural, intellectual, politics and diplomatic, depend on the need and or requirements.  With social sciences you can also get into a career in human services, which means you could be a social worker, therapist, and so on. If you have any interest in how people and their social statures work or if you like to help people with their problems then social sciences are the field for you, if not then you may want to consider looking into other avenues.
